  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2 tbsp chopped almond
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  • water

1In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup custard powder with 1 cup of water. Set aside the mixer until needed.

2In a frying pan take 1 and 1/4 cup of sugar. Now add 1 cup of water. Mix and cook until sugar dissolves completely. Boil the mixer for 2-3 mins. Now add 1 tsp of lemon juice into the mixer. It will make some foam. We have to remove the foam to get the best result.

3Now mix the custard mixer that we made earlier, with this boiled mixer. Cook and stir until thickened. Its time to add 3 tbsp of ghee gradually into the mixer. Once done, add 2 tbsp of chopped almond. Mixed it and then add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder. Mix it and cook it for 1-2 mins.

4Pour the halwa mixer to a ghee greased bowl or mould. Let it cool and then keep in the fridge for at least 30 mins. After 30 mins take the mould out and cut halwa into pieces. You can add finely chopped almond on top of each halwa piece.
